true-bluemovers.com is run by True Blue Movers, a moving company based in Hyattsville, Maryland. Browsing the site or sending in a quote request signals that you go along with what follows.
Who you are dealing with
We are the mover, plain and simple. The trucks are ours, the crew is on our payroll, and the operating authority is held in our own name:
- In-state authorityMaryland household-goods registration
- Interstate authorityUSDOT authority + MC authority
- Your agreementMade straight with True Blue Movers
- Quote replyInside one business hour
Your move is never farmed out to a broker chain. Send a request, Alicia prices a written flat figure and mails it, and the moment you accept, the moving agreement runs directly between you and True Blue Movers.
Asking costs nothing
Requesting a quote is free, and nothing piggybacks onto the move itself:
- Zero booking charge
- Zero paperwork charge
- No cut taken off the top
- The only thing owed is the binding flat figure on the written quote, settled when we unload
The written figure holds
That written quote is locked in against the inventory and the access situation noted on it.
- Should the actual job change in a real way — a whole room added or dropped, or building access unlike what we settled on — a revised written quote goes out ahead of the date.
- There is no re-billing when we unload absent a signed agreement first.
Holding the date, and backing out
A refundable hold, generally $100 to $200, pins down your slot.
| If you… | Then… |
|---|---|
| Give about three days’ warning | The hold comes back in full |
| Pull out the morning of | A partial charge may apply for crew time already reserved |
The binding version sits on your quote
The precise cancellation language is printed on your written quote. Numbers here are the usual ones; the quote itself is what controls.
Coverage on your goods
The federal floor of $1M cargo liability coverage rides on every job.
| The option | What you get |
|---|---|
| Default interstate valuation | $0.60 per pound, the federal baseline |
| Full-value protection (paid) | Declared-value coverage across the whole load, smart for anything fragile or pricey |
A claim runs right through the Hyattsville office, with no outside party in between.
Using the form fairly
Filling out the quote request, you commit to a couple of things:
- Keep the details honest — both ZIPs, the date you want, and a real inventory.
- Skip the bogus or bot-driven repeat submissions; those are not allowed.
We hold the right to turn down a job for any cause that lines up with Maryland and federal law.
Texting and calling consent
Sending the form lets True Blue reach you at the number or address you list, automated SMS included where it fits. Standard message and data rates may apply.
Backing out of contact
- Text STOP back to a message
- Phone us on (888) 711-4778
- Write to [email protected]
Our Privacy Policy spells out the rest of how data is handled.
Not advice
What you read on the site — the FAQ, route write-ups, neighborhood notes — is general moving information, not legal, tax, or financial counsel. Where a move tangles with an estate, a divorce, or business assets, check with a qualified professional.
Limits on what we owe
What True Blue Movers can be held to on any job run under a written quote is set by:
- The language printed on that quote
- Federal household-goods regulation (49 CFR § 375 et seq.) for interstate work
- The matching Maryland household-goods regulation for in-state work
So far as the law permits, what we can owe in total will not run past the cargo coverage figure named on the written quote.
When these change
This text gets revised from time to time, and the date up top shifts along with it. Staying on the site or sending a fresh request afterward counts as agreeing.
